No trip to the Keys is complete without a sunset by water, and the best way to see it is away from the crowds. While most sunset boats idle around Sunset Key, Brightwild Adventures runs a scenic tour of the local marinas and surrounding islands along the north side of Key West, then turns to watch the sun melt into the horizon.

The sunset deserves to be celebrated daily. Savor a glass of champagne as the sky goes orange, pink and purple over the Gulf of Mexico, and take home the photos you will keep looking at for a lifetime.

Music, refreshments and Key West inspired appetizers with a little Cuban flare are included, and the crew keeps an eye out for dolphins along the way.

Beachside Resort

Meet at the beach area at the top of the long pier behind the resort. Departure moves with the sunset, from about 5:30 PM in fall to 6:30 PM in summer.

First hour

No. The sunset cruise is a scenic tour and guests stay on board for the whole trip.

Yes. All ages are welcome on the sunset cruise. Children should be supervised by an adult at all times.

The boat stays in relatively shallow, protected water on the north side, which keeps the ride smooth. Guests who worry about seasickness are usually fine once the boat is away from the dock.

About an hour before sunset, so the departure time shifts through the year. The live calendar shows the exact time for your date.

Yes. A private sunset charter is $2,500 and can be booked on the same calendar.

Cancellations made at least 24 hours before departure are refunded in full. Inside 24 hours, no refund. Private charters need seven days notice.
