Wake up and start the day in paradise. The Key West Sandbar Adventure leaves Beachside Resort in the morning and cruises through the backcountry mangrove channels of Key West to Snipes Key Sandbar, the one the locals go to. Snipes Key is always the #1 choice! If Mother Nature has other plans, your captain will choose the best alternate location for the day.
Wade through tropical clear blue water, explore the sandbar on a paddleboard or kayak and soak in the picture-perfect setting of your own oasis. The water is shallow enough to stand in, so guests of all ages can get in and play.
Lunch is a custom sandwich from a local deli that has fed the Key West boating community for almost 30 years, with chips and light snacks. Soda and water flow all day, and there is an open bar with beer, wine and seltzers for guests 21 and up.

How the day runs
Depart Beachside Resort
Check in at the beach area at the top of the long pier behind the resort. The cruise winds through the mangrove channels of the Key West backcountry.
Arrive at the sandbar
Anchor in clear, shallow water at Snipes Key, or the best alternative if conditions call for it. Paddleboards, kayaks, floats and the lily pad mat come out.
Lunch on the water
Deli sandwiches, chips and snacks, plus the open bar for guests 21 and up.
Back at the dock
A scenic ride home past the islands and marinas of Key West.

It is always recommended, but the sandbar is shallow enough to stand in, so swimming is not required. Life jackets are on board for anyone who wants one.

Snipes Key is the goal on every sandbar trip and it is where the boat runs whenever conditions allow. Weather and sea state can make it unsafe or unreachable on a given day, and when that happens the captain chooses the best sandbar available instead. The call is made on the day of the trip.

Yes. The boat has plenty of shade and all of the seating is cushioned.
Corona, Stella, Michelob Ultra, High Noon seltzers and red, white and sparkling wine, for guests 21 and up.
Parking at Beachside Resort is complimentary for passengers. Park under Building 6 for the nearest entrance to the beach area.
Dolphins, stingrays, egrets, pelicans, herons, osprey and schools of fish are common sightings, though nothing is guaranteed.
Cancellations made at least 24 hours before departure are refunded in full. Cancellations inside 24 hours are not refunded. A minimum of six passengers is needed to run the trip; if it is not met, Brightwild reschedules or refunds you.
